Cole Irvin, a left-handed pitcher, has been traded to the Baltimore Orioles from the Oakland A's, according to ESPN NFL expert Jeff Passan.

Darell Hernaiz, a prospect for the infield, and right-hander Kyle Virbitsky will be sent to the A's in return.

Irvin played with the A's the previous two seasons. With 30 games and 181.0 innings pitched, he recorded a 3.98 ERA and a career-high 128 strikeouts in 2022. The 28-year-old pitcher finished the year 9-13.
