Response To Thursday Night Football Choice in the NFL World

The network's expectations for the first season of Thursday Night Football on Amazon were far from realised.

Before the season began, Amazon reportedly told advertisers that it hoped to average 12.5 million viewers every game, according to Michael McCarthy of Front Office Sports.

Advertisers for lower-than-expected ratings apparently received compensation from Amazon.

The low ratings on Amazon this season were not a surprise to NFL fans. The Thursday evening schedule was appalling.

"The Thursday Night scheduling was very lackluster and honestly AL and Kirk don’t have any on screen chemistry," a fan said. "Those #TNF games were consistently awful," one person tweeted.
